Project / Tempo at Thonglor, Bangkok
Task / Brand Positioning, Visual Identity Design, Retail Brochure
Client / DTZ + Pacific Star (Singapore)
Year/ 1992–1994

From a hotch-potch of bridal shops just a few years back, Thonglor has blossomed into a trendy fashion and design epicentre, attracting an affluent, creative community, and making it a destination for Bangkok’s trendsetters and celebrities.

Around Soi Thonglor and Sukhumvit Road are some of Bangkok’s most expensive residential real estate, and residents are typically those with high disposable income and discerning taste.

Tempo retail is part of a mixed-use development with serviced apartments and a 34-storey residential tower. Our design team created a distinctive upmarket brand positioning, and communicated it in an elegant, smallish, but finely-crafted brochure to appeal to specialty retailers.

Tempo is focused in both its vision and purpose. In-depth interviews with the people who reside in, or frequent Thonglor/Sukhumvit have revealed to us their likes and aspirations. The masterplan for Tempo retail fulfils these needs, shaping its retail offerings, activities, ambience, and the experience.
